The Threat Landscape Keeps Moving. The MyIT Program Continues to Evolve to Keep Pace.

A few years ago, the average month brought 50–100 updates from Microsoft, with maybe a handful rated as critical. Each one closed a door that attackers could use to reach your systems, your data, your business.

That world is gone.

  • June: 206 updates, 36 of them critical
  • July: more than 600 updates, 59 of them critical
  • August: over 400 updates, 42 of them critical
  • September: more than 900 updates, 104 of them critical
  • October: more than 1,400 updates, 70+ of them were critical (this broke the yearly record of 1,130 in 2025, in one month)

This is not a temporary spike. It is the new baseline. The attack surface keeps growing, the tools used against businesses keep getting smarter, and simply installing the latest patches is no longer enough to stay protected.

The MyIT Program has always been built on a simple principle: maintenance is security. That principle still holds. As the threats change, so does the program.

Our team has spent the last several months stress-testing new tools and techniques against real-world threats so we can bring better protection to our MyIT clients. We will soon be rolling out new capabilities in three areas:

Endpoint
Deeper behavioral detection and automated response layered on top of the protection you already have, so unusual activity is caught and stopped faster.

Network
Expanded logging and anomaly detection for the devices that sit between your systems and the internet, giving clearer visibility into what’s trying to get in or out.

Cloud
Identity monitoring and compromise detection for the platforms your business runs on every day—email, files, and collaboration tools—because most breaches now start with a compromised account, not a broken firewall.

These enhancements are designed to strengthen the MyIT Program for the reality we now face: the old network perimeter is largely gone, and the new battlefield is everywhere.

We’ll share exact rollout timing and what this means for your environment soon. If your business is not yet on the MyIT Program and you want to understand what practical, managed security looks like when the stakes are this high, let’s talk.
